It says 40 deg, but this is a typo, it is really 30 deg.
The driver is a JBL 2445 compared with a 350Hz Tractrix.
I think the 40 deg version you are building should work very well.
Over the years I have built 30, 50, 60, 80, 90 deg conical horns in both round, cold capsule shape ( like in the Yorkville TX series) , and rectangular format. All have good and bad points, except for the 90 deg round- not enough low end.
