I am no great expert, but here is Lowthers descripion of the Bicor effect.

"Another Lowther exclusive. Its application to Lowther's labyrinthine horn formations has been to eliminate the barrier effect of standing waves in horns completely, leaving cleaner, clearer musically transparent sound as a consequence"

Now these are the guys that should know, and there is no mention of 35Hz bass there. Its merely an elaborate transmission line and I could run mine empty or heavily stuffed without any noticeable difference in bass extension.

If your desciption of the 166E is to be believed, you now have restricted mids and highs resulting in a better balance. The reality is the that box is not producing any more bass. You cant get something for nothing.
