My latest experiment was to add extensions to each horn to double the area of the mouth,making it equal to the mouth of the LABhorn.It worked,goes down to 30 hz before rolling off.Still more power than any sane person needs,even with only one driver per channel.
At 110 db(30 hz) the picture window was rattling so loud,it almost drowned out the sub! Wasn't at it's limit even then....
Next step is to make it look more presentable.I am thinking of making a face frame and false doors to make it look like a cabinet,and covering the extensions with trim and grill cloth to make them look like conventional speakers.Being 9 ft long,it needs something to make it look less massive.
Then again,maybe I will just stack them on one side,the LABhorn on the other,and put a screen in front to hide the whole damned thing!
