That's along the lines of what I was guessing. I remember back a ways some discussion on here about alternate xovers etc that now sound like they were steps in this direction of linear/zero phase and square wave preservation.
Wish I had the $$$ and space to consider the SH-50 - it looks like a killer. As it is, I'm plugging away on a couple DIY ideas for 'easier to experiment' Unities. If/when I get there, I'm planning on using a PC-based xover, which should give lots of flexibility for trying different xover topologies. Progress is frustratingly slow, though.
