It seems to me that getting a LF square wave would be impossible from a conventional driver.On the positive half,the cone would jump forward,and then remain at that position until the negative half,where it would jump back to the negative peak,and remain at that position till it jumps forward again. So even though the cone is going through the motions of a square wave,the output would be nothing during the time the cone is motionless at both peaks.

Perhaps in a completely sealed room,where the forward motion would pressurize the room,and hold it there,then depressurize on the negative peak,it might have a chance...Sealed headphones might be more practical.

The variable pitch rotary sub should be able to do a much better job in this respect.
