and a Toshiba DVD Player, but I could be mistaken. His speakers in his room at RMAF sounded pretty much like my Edgarhorn 80's do when I hook them up to my 30 year old Marantz receiver and my Toshiba DVD player, which ain't too pretty.
If he can't hear the difference between decent front-ends and amplification I doubt he will ever have much luck selling his speakers no matter how great they may "measure."
That, coupled with the negative "psychoacoustic" effects of his personality on the listening experience will pretty much kill any enthusiasm anyone is likely to have for his speakers.
OTOH, like you, I do respect Duke and his ability to set up a system, so perhaps there is some hope.
