Thanks for the reply. I'm going to try Lowther America and Lowther U'K and see what they have to say too. I've seen Haden Boardman's article on Lowther in HI-Fi World. I may try him if other avenues fail. I will post too if I find any info.
The plans I bought included a parts list and cutting sheet, and a well-rendered blueprint of the cabinet, but no plans for the plaster front horn, which surprised me, since it is the heart of the system. By the way, I labeled it a corner horn in my post above, which I don't think it is, but I've seen it listed that way.
What I like about this design for my purpose is that it is supposed to give a wide dispersion to the Lowther's treble and midrange, which is what I want for a mono system, and may balance out the otherwise rising FR too.
I was thinking originally how much space a mono system saves over stereo (which I have also), but then the size of this beast crushes that. That Home Constructors horn looks better from that perspective. I can't imagine the size room a stero pair would need, but then I was running a double pair of KLH NInes in a 9' x 10' room at one time. Talk about a dedicated listening room.
