well, they're still the best at drum kits -- I have a test CD, from Chesky I think, that has a two or three minute drum track on it, starts low, builds up, cresendos then ends.The Khorns do this wonderfully, the best I've heard (since I haven't heard either those beasts or the Edgarhorns). You can feel, hell, see, stuff vibrating in the room.
Maybe being in the basement with 1 million tons of wet St. Paul clay surrounding the cement walls helps...
