When I had my Lowthers in Hedlund Horns, there was no "famous" or even infamous "Lowther shout." I think that the Lowther shout was true for the old style Lowthers which did not have the rolled edge whizzer. However, the new style drivers, with the rolled edge whizzer, have no more shout, provided that you have them set up right and you don't have crappy electronics upstream. At least I don't have any shout. Either I got very lucky with the drivers I got from Lowther, or the shout is a myth.
