'nother Steve here.I don't think you are too far off the mark in your comments. Both Beauhorns and Avantgardes are excellent speakers which can be likened to racing cars.
The Beauhorns are like a BMW M5. Fast, agile and good handling right out of the box, easy to set up and not too difficult to find its limits. A great package
The Avantgardes are more like open seater formula racers. Purpose built, high performance, they need some expertise and set up. The Trio is genuinely the Formula One of loudspeakers. Incredible technology and performance, really difficult to find any limits whatsoever but requiring careful set up and driver skill to achieve optimum performance.
To take the comparison further, you get into an M5, turn the key, hit the gas and you're turning competitive lap times. In the Formula One you're either bogging the engine or lighting up the tyres. Its going to take more work to get anywhere near its limits. But ultimately, when all's said and done, which will give you the ultimate thrill?
