I have also heard both the AGs (the trios and the duos) and the Beaus at several shows. I've no doubt that the AGs require extra effort to set up. That is both their strength and their weakness; and I suppose it must be suggested that the extra effort required could produce spectacular effects - or maybe to avoid the very same.I am not fortunate enough to be able to accomodate the AGs and their requirements, and perhaps, for me at least, this represents a telling fact: That the Beaus may be more amenable to more peoples' listening environments.
It may be that the Beaus aren't as fussy in their expectations of other gear, but I've yet to hear it suggested that they cannot reveal a source for what it is - especially if itis of high quality. You're simply more likely to get more music more readily out of such a design. Thus it will not punish me unduly as I continue my audio experiments, and still give me all of the music to enjoy. Is that not the point?
