Hi Dave, speakers do have a sound (some call it color). Yes, they are influenced by what is fed into them but, they definately, have a "sound". I think the A.G.s are wonderfull speakers. As many times as I have heard the various models (especially the Trios), I have been amazed by their attributes but, at the same time, somewhat put off by a mehanical, glazed or etched "sound". The Beauhorns seem much more natural and lifelike in their presentaion and "sound". I have a great room, listen to all types of music and prefer tubes and vinyl. I really am not into the " my system is better than yours" .I have owned some of the best equipment made. Speakers seem to be the hardest. I was pleasently suprised and genuinely excited about the Beauhorns. I just wanted to simply share my experience and with no other agenda in mind. We are talking subjectively, personal preferences and all but, isn't that how we choose in life. Jeffrey
