RE: Dipole 80 hz - 800hz

at Diyaudio, there's a thread on the 15-300TC - IIRC lots of praise. (I'm currently on an XP machine and can't access their website as XP support is dead) Qts unmodified is 0.7 and fs stated at 48Hz so it should produce reasonable bass down to 50Hz. I've run a P-audio SN15C with 0.38 qts on a flat 24"x36" baffle and felt there was enough bass. 15-300TC looks something like EV's old SP15 and appears to have a light, multi-ribbed cone like seen on some of Eminence's 15 inch speakers (their defunct Beta 15CX for one and its sister, the original Silver Iris 15cx). I don't think it would be bass shy as the OP wanted a low end of 80Hz but wonder about its dynamics. (considered good at Diyaudio) There's almost no coil overhang - but that still could play pretty clean as I measured an Alpha 6a very clean. One guy at Diyaudio has that Fane in a W-bin (and it sims "ok")

The fullrnagers, like other speaker genre camps, tend to get overly excited about an idea or way of of doing things vs results. If it had a stronger motor, then I'd get one as a toy.
