Bp, nice work. The midrange being "depressed" with the loading cap looks interesting. Maybe they were trying to "linearize" the driver so the high end roll off is not as noticeable. I saw the same roll off starting around 14 kHz with my 902-8B's...then I noticed my Vifa 27tg35-06(?) showed similar tndencies, and they are speced out to 20 or 22kHz...so I quit sweating it.
BTW, the one meter measuring distance...was it from the mouth of the horn, or driver? In what manner are you "damping" your horns. 40 uF xover cap for 500 hz...are you running 1st order? Would seem to expose the driver to more low freq. energy than designed for...
