Home High Efficiency Speaker Asylum

Need speakers that can rock with just one watt? You found da place.

Is it wise to lower the lf cutoff ?

I would think you would lose some definition if you jiggled the parameters to extend the lf cutoff. I think it was the late Richard Heyser who said in an Audio review of the K-Horn that nothing else can make low-frequency transients sound as lifelike, even though the bass doesn't extend as deep as that of some bookshelf models. Since the bass is more than deep enough to suit most people, wouldn't it be against the spirit of the design to sacrifice tightness for extension?
Or is there no loss of mid-bass definition?
