Back to B&W Nautalis 805 after one year full range driver?

It's been a year today since forum members convinced me to try a pair of Fostex 206e drivers with my ASL 845 SETs instead of my beloved Nautalis 805s. I built myself a pair of 1.3 Baltic Birch bass reflex cabinets for the 206Es and was STUNNED by the difference in speed, clarity, detail, and just plain old "you Are There" spookiness. I was SOOOOOOO impressed that I purchased a new pair of Lowther DX-3 drivers and built myself a Big Port version of the 2.5 bass reflex, also out of 3/4" Baltic Birch within one month of building the Fostex boxes. I felt that the DX-3s are a bit more detailed and refined when compared with the Fostex 206e's. However, even though the Lowthers' were placed in a much larger cabinet, the Fostex bass reflex combination had better and more bass in my opinion.
Well, I have been listening to the Lowthers ever since. I have added a pair of Wavelength Gemini/45 amps which further improved the refinement of my system Vs the 845 SETs.
Yesterday I decided to put the Nautalis 805s back in the system with my dual bridged Eico HF-86 amps (best amps I have ever owned prior to the Geminis)and the ASL 845 SETs. WOW! how can anyone live with these things? they are just so muted and tubby with no see through clarity at all. Then I put the Fostex 206e 1.3 cabinets back in with the above mentioned amplifiers, plus the Wavelength Gemini's (was not sure if the 2 watt Gemini's could really run the 95 db Fostex speakers). Well, I did'nt get to bed until about 3 am this morning. I just could not believe that I really did not miss my Lowther system. So, WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS POST?
The Fostex 206e's in a simple bass reflex cabinet, total cost of about $500.00 are by a LARGE margin, the best speakers that I have owned in thirty years of spending my wife's money on "High End" speakers. Only my Lowthers are arguably better, and then not in every respect. Thanks very much for turning me on to this single driver full range thing. Where were you guys thirty years ago?
