Do you have two push pull output trannys that are 1K plate to plate?Do they handle some current, 100-200ma a leg?
If so look at the 6C33s (?) Them big ass triodes used SE in the LAM amp. This could be the ticket.
The 123As have jump in large boxes. A little bla in JBL designs. One of the true shames in audio. Here's a speaker that was put into maybe two proper designs and is one of the most manufactured quality drivers in speaker history. Shame on JBL. Good for DIY.
Hammond outputs are very under rated to the point where I think there is an undeserved smear campain. Ya sure they don't look as nice as 200.00 each outputs but they measure and sound very good.
One more thing, for the most part late 50s to mid 60s and in some cases 70s gear can rub elbows with the best 90s and 00s. Give cheapo digital amps another generation or two and this might change. Dump 25.00-50.00 into the Eico you won't be sorry.
