My taste are like yours with the addition of classical from time to time. I was thinking along the same lines you are about full range speakers but was never satisfied with the dynamics I heard in other peoples systems. I stumbled onto fully loaded horn speakers and will never go back. I put together a pair of klipschorns from bits and pieces found on ebay including a set of cabinets. They out rock anything I have ever heard. I waited for a year to gather all the parts and two weeks ago found the cabs on ebay, drove to Vermont from Michigan to pick them up. Last week I put all the components in and they rock!!!!! I bidded my time and in doing so ended up spending $650.00 in total. If you watch ebay you can find khonrs for between 1500 and 2000.
