it's true. they are 12" woofers in 15" frames. the frames are large to attach the 2 cone tweeters in font of the woofer. the same drive was also available as a 12" woofer only with a different frame. you could buy the woofer/tweeters and a 2-way crossover with a Bozak cabinet and later add the midranges you have with altered cabinet. this is true calssic stuff, not just old stuff. Bozak was high end in its day.
