Hey Mike - not sure what a coupler would do poked behind dipole - would be interesting experiment - do ou think it would be trying to bang around 1/2 wave or do more?I've gotta go Altec Biflex dipole sometime - used to use MG1IMP with various Bruce Moore amps and EAR 509 - 529 was unstable and at time didn't know how to fix or find designer so dumped cheap like idiot - chrome was pretty - black chrome on 509 even better but that circuit sounded kinda dry at times on 40's Russian stuff - then again great with Johnny Ray
stock Dyna? - one of my first fine amps was EICO ST-7O - hacked a not so pretty one a few years ago into ppp 6BX7 with 300vak - sounded great on Edgarhorn 100 without loop feedback - not sure if 6BX7 can be found cheap anymore
old K12 from 1955 might make neat little speaker project - Wolverine sounded decent - better imo than EM wiz
