as a result of the effiecency the amp need not work as hard. I had "normal" 88Db cone driver speakers in my system, and switched to 104Db horns, and the music sounds effortless, in addition to being cleaner, and when desired louder without strain. Even at very low volumes, the system sounds much more "effortless", even thou the amp has more than enough power. I think amps work better and cleaner when not "taxed".
