A-B'd an LP and CD, same album, same tracks.
Found some bass notes just missing from the LP, present on the CD. I assume they dropped them to save groove spacing on the LP. Found a 12 inch single cut of the same song, re-found the note. 12 inch single grooves were spaced much farther apart, with much more modulation.
Obviously a decision based on audience.Cheers, john
