Mobile--MP, an astute verteran horny and retired WE engineer has identified an 9kz flare from the midrange of many (but not all) Klipsch loudspeakers using the Atlas midrange driver. The driver has no low-pass filter and runs full-out on the top end. This flare is tamed by a simple notch filter MP designed called a P Trap. Some installers of this trap report a much nicer and cleaner top end response. Mind this Mobile, not everyone likes Klipsch speakers, even many hornys think you can do better than Klipsch if pursueing a robust, big, "real" compression driver-horn rig. Personally my taste runs more to Altec and JBL products and right now I'm very enamored of my JBL-Edgar Saladbowl top-end. The Cornwall is a good speaker but I traded mine for a set of Altec 605As, those are better speakers. If I was you I'd be looking for some used vintage Altec speakers like Valencias or 19s or I'd be procuring used drivers and horns for a DIY Altec or JBL rig. But the Cornwall is very good and as several other inmates have noted you can resell them easily.
