Hey, kh!I think you are absolutely on the right track. I really, really liked the few pair of Klipsch original series (heritage) speakers I've heard, and came very close to getting a pair of Heresys before I went the Lowther route. What you get from these is an excellent sense of immediacy, speed, and efficiency with extremely low distortion. I have heard (from others) that the Cornwalls are sort of like the big brothers of the Heresy. Have you actually seen and heard the ones you might get? If you still are using your Moondog amps, the Klipsch are an 8 ohm load -- I'm asking because I don't know what the OPTs on your amps were originally set up for. If they are on the 16 ohm taps, you can always change that.
Anyway, sounds like lots of fun to me -- I certainly AM NOT a Klipsch basher -- that rather small (in comparison to my Medallions) Heresy had a really amazing presentation; I still look at them on ebay, 'cause I think they are an outstanding speaker.
Take care...you also know me as Erik, by the way!
