Transformers, chokes, caps, signal wire and cables: Don't mix metals in a system. That's another thing i like about the Audio Note (UK) approach. They frequently make the same piece of equipment in a copper or silver model. Their Lexus and Sogon ICs and speaker cables are the same construction, except one is copper, the other silver.
But it's an expensive practice that I can't afford to follow when I get to the cash register.
