Joe -with an addtional 600-1K in series and a switchable 10 ohm shunt calibration resistor you should be able to measure Z OK without a power amp - 10 ohm 1% resistor would be kicked in at each test point and generator's output set to read "10" on some scale of your DVM or VTVM - then kick that resistor out to read the Z - Speaker Workshop is a jillion times faster! (and free 'cept for building a test jig, mike preamp, etc - all pretty cheap stuff - also -pretty graphs!):
