Question about audio generator

High Efficiency Speaker Asylum

Need speakers that can rock with just one watt? You found da place.

I bought an audio generator so I could test my speakers, for proper size boxes. I think the generator works. I calabrated it,the output is proper acording to the manual. It's an Eico 377.
I thought I was going to be able to hear the generator drive my speakers, but I can't.
Is this right?
