I prefer quads to but on some things I prefer the horns.I get the impression from these guys that they like both types just as I do. I'm glad don't have to make that decision.
Let me point out a few things here.
Horns,Esls,and Magnepans,are all highly revealing and accurate speakers.If you put crappy electronics on them,or put poor source material thru them,none of the three will behave well.Why,because none of three are noted for coloring the sound.All three also love tube gear on them and they will sing the most beautiful music if you are considerate tho them. This is one reason why horns,Esls,and Maggies have such a large cult following
