hi Tom - - (-much appreciate your thoughts - - got flu right now)a lot of this forum and fullrange fans probably use SET - -I bought a Norh amp advertised as 6 watts but in reality was about 1.4 watts/channel triode-tied 6L6 - its one of the worse and most pathetic things I've heard period.
at some point I rather have a cheap class Ab/H solid state amp than a starved and clipped tube amp. (for tubes I have ppp EL34/6l6 Mesa) - my old (self-bias) Eico HF87 clipped very ungracefully.
what happens with typical fullrange blh and "bib" when trying to do big drums when 1mm excursion can be exceeded way below 1 watt?
can wav recordings of loudspeakers successfully be analyzed versus analysis of the recording - or do room interactions, etc. preclude useful interpretation.
need any hifi junk? - I've over collected - and still "want" more -lol
