OK, this morning - when my ears are at their most sensitive I put Frampton on the HT system (in stereo) and set the volume to my typical listening level. This time I recorded the SPL with the 2270 SLM coming off of the microphone.. The picture is the result. Max 111.5dB Peak not too bad. Any guesses about the system? The average crest factor for the song was 13.0dB about the same as the electrical signal. Maximum crest factor 16.7dB about 3dB less than in the electrical measurement. The power amp clipping lights did not trigger though at times all the green were lit. Crest factor was 15dB in the spl when the 111.5 dB peak was reached and that about matched the electrical signal at the same moment in the song.
