Altec Lansing Model 14 crossover help (long)

First I'd like to introduce myself to the asylum. I have been lurking here on AA for a couple months, (mostly in Hi-Eff & Vintage forums), and have been assembling a very modest vintage system. Dynaco PAS3/ST-70, Pioneer CTF-900, RT-909, VPI Jr. TT, and several pairs of vintage speakers. This forum is really excellent for a neophyte like myself. Looking forward to sharing.

My plan is to retsore these Altec speakers for use with my Eico HF-12's. I have zero background in retsoring electronics but I didn't let that stop me from buying a variac, DMM, and a soldering station in hopes of learning to restore/mod my equipment, and build a DIY preamp kit later on. I thought I'd just "jump in" and go from there. Unfortunately my first "project" is the Altec's and I'm not sure how to procede with rebuilding the model 14 crossovers without a schematic or a working example. I recently purchased a pair of Model 14s on ebay in need of restoration. The cabinets are in pretty good shape, and horns are supposed to be in excelent shape. Unfortunately I can't tell as they were missing both woofers and the crossovers although included, weren't connected. They seem complete, but I have no idea what they should look like. I assume I can pick up another woofer from Great Plains, but was hoping to obtain any info on how to rebuild the crossovers. Anyone have any ideas how I can obtain help, or is there someone that provides this service?

Thanks in advance!

Mike
