Oh, this is really funny. Walking home from work this evening some folks were packing up the remains of their yard sale and I offered them $10 for a pair of EV speakers they wanted $20 for. They are much nicer than the ones I've been asking about in this thread... real wood, a pretty cane front and an 8" speaker. I need my fella to help me get them home this evening but when I do I'll look inside and see if I should restore them or throw out the drivers and build something new (thre is something large rattling inside so the latter seems likely).yay. :-) my lucky day. A two way 8" is more sensible and they are a better size for me. The Bose boxes will go back under my bed for use in another project some day.
