The biggest changes that I made to the theater were to minimize the floor and ceiling reflections. Makes ahuge difference in the measurements and "I think" that I hear a difference in the reproduction.I cannot see how the floor bounce could be benign just because its always there. Then remove it and get used to it not being there. It can't be a good thing.
Remember that vertical reflections don't cause interaural changes in any way so they can't impact localization, but they can certainly cause a comb filter at the ears.
