hey Tom - pretty interesting stuff - some years back - 'think' BM used Sigma-type Eminence 18 - shootout FR shows a dip which would affect HD numbers - maybe these were designed by 'intuition'?Question - what T-S might the open back case "like"? - is it looking for lower mass/unit cone area?
for practical concerns - is a "good" design whatever works strongest for a given bulk? - its gotta play well, not melt-down and fit through doors - plus not kill whoever has to lift
am pretty sure if pulled back chamber on Bruce's Monolith that distortion would increase and lose some LF extension - had about 2cu.ft. annulling chamber.
will Yorkville's Bass Pipe get into sub-shoot? - looking at FR graph seems flat to ~45 - does that make it a possible contender?
Best,
Freddy
