So why are you posting this here, if I didn't say it? Further, why don't you quote directly instead of how you did so people will know exactly what you're talking about?

In any case, if a direct radiating point source with flat response and no digital eq has approximately a negative 90 degree phase response over a significant portion of its response, then it will not correctly reproduce a waveshape without some fancy allpass eq. If it has a constant time delay (ie, changing phase wrt frequency), then yeah, it can reproduce a complex waveshape.
