High Efficiency Speaker Asylum Need speakers that can rock with just one watt? You found da place. |

I would appreciate advice on which vintage high efficiency speaker I should look for. My amp is 20-25 wpc tube integrated. I listen to primarily classic rock and soul, with some reggae, jazz, and classical. I would like a floorstanding speaker, but would prefer something that is not as huge as an Altec A7 or Klipsch Corner Horn. I like a speaker that is non-fatiguing, punchy, accurate, very detailed without being harsh, and perhaps on the slightly warm side of neutral, capable of imaging extremely well and creating a three dimensional soundstage and illusion of live music. I'd prefer something that is from '69-'77, or somewhere in that time period. I've been looking at old Tannoys, but I'd like to know if there is anything better suited to my needs. Am I dreaming here?
