The amp is rated at approximately 85 watts into 6 ohms.How does one calculate the correct values for the capacitor and coil at 800hz if you do not know the impedance of the drivers at that frequency. In all my research no one has mentioned those values. The Altec 806A and 416A are so common. I can probably estimate the 416A with the T/S however I have no clue as to the value for the 806A.
The stock butterworth second order Altec crossover (N-800-D) appears to assume an impedance of 12 ohms for both drivers when I calculate backwards from the quoted part values (10.5uF & 3.0mH). This also shows a crossover of 880 Hz.
