Altec fan moving into smaller house

Friends,

I'm downsizing from a house to a condo in a few weeks and I'm certain I'll need to downsize my Altec enjoyment too. Right now I'm listening to a pair of Altec VOTT that sound so great. It's just the basic set-up without cabinet reinforcement and other tweaks. But I have a feeling these are not going to work in the new place. Can I take the components and put them into a smaller cabinets? Should I just sell them and go with a bookshelves? How do I keep the Altec sound without the size?
Like I said, I've become a huge Altec fan and I'd rather stay with the sound than give it up.
I'd appreciate your suggestions?
