I had a pair of the 406's and the pair I had were only like 90 db sensitive. Maybe they needed charged - I don't know - they looked mint. If that is the case you will need to do some serious padding on the tweeter to match them - never had them on an open baffle - they probably would go down to 150 cycles or so well on a big enough baffle before you run into trouble- so a 3-way will be the way to go. If you are going to do that the Audax PR170MO at 89.00 is a much better choice and will be SOTA with the ribbons and allow for a higher crossover point.
