Dear GM -Thanks so much - I know the Eminence drivers are a problem but really appreciate the info on what should be done to the 511.
The reason I used 1.8Khz xover is because its all I have layng around - the Peavey 1505 isn't too bad a woofer. I don't know whether lowering the xover would make it much better. With the Eminence driver I would imagine 1.2Khz might be about as low as it should go - might that be a better compromise with the 15" cone?
If I had a way to measure I might try a lcr 'trap' on the Eminence driver - don't know exactly where the Emience driver/511 combo might be 'hot'.
