From your description I would guess that they are worth scavenging. The horns could be Altecs, or perhaps RCA, Jensen, or some more obscure brand like Rauland or Racon. There were prewar Jensen drivers with bullet shaped rear covers, but these are quite large. RCA made some WWII era PA drivers with bullet covers. Or perhaps they are the small format Atlas or other acorn shaped PA drivers. Those foot long extensions make me think that they might taper down to the small 5/8" or so size throats.
