Once you have the back off, If you can see a big bad aluminum dome, it does not have a loading cap. If instead , the dome is not exposed, but is covered by a plastic looking piece, you have a loading cap. Carefully undo the leads, and CAREFULLY remove the loading cap, after having removed the three screws of course. Be very careful, I usually have to use a small screw driver to seperate the cap from the lower part which is the dome/voice coil assembly. Without the loading cap in place, the screws will now be too long to tighten against the voicecoil/dome assembly, hence the need for the shorter screws. Then put the felt in the rear cap and reassemble. If you order the kit from great plaines, you will probably receive it within 3-4 days, they are really quick. The kit also comes with a nice sheet with illustrations which make it much simpler than my babbling would indicate. Short story, if you remove the rear cover and it doesnt have felt in there and you can't see an aluminum dome, you have loading caps. call great plaines, and enjoy. They do have more enjoyable high end with the caps removed, but they will handle less power. 15 instead of 30 watts. For home use, this will never make a difference, as you will be able to peel paint off the walls with volume long before you reach this point! You will like the difference immediately. Be very carefull as the magnet is extremely powerful, and it is possible to accidentally poke your dome/diapram,
which will result in any where from a small harmless dent, to completely fubar of the dome. I am very fumble fingered and haven't screwed one up yet, knock on wood.Enjoy, Russellc
