I realized that after I posted them ...the speaker has the same exact components in the box.It's just made pretty for home use. I would still find the sound harsh, grating and unenjoyable I'm sure.
Old altec horn speakers are the most overrated of any stereo item ever. I fell into the hype too ..."you gotta try Altec horns" and the "altec horns are the best speakers ever!" It's all hype. They sound terrible.
