Don, you must have never seen either a pair of Valencias or Barcelonas or you would not be saying they were grey utility monsters. They are very nice looking furniture and speakers. And you cannot compare them to the ones you had as far as sound goes either. They are made for the home. What you had were not. I like Klipsch very much, but I like Altec alot also.Kenny
