Never heard a big Onken but have had a variety of bass horns and have heard larger Altec horn/vented combo's and have to say the home brew Karlsons *type* bass enclosures (Rosy's ; ) with the PHL 5320 15" can will really compete. Mine go down to 40 hz strong (try that with a 825/828) but really develop a wallop through the bass and upper bass. IMO they can get a bit colored above the bass and a 300 Hz or lower crossover works best. The little Altec 511 or 811's probably won't be an ideal match seeing they won't respond that low. Maybe the 311/90's would be a better match.
