RE: LA Scala with an Altec 515

Ultimately you could try to find a pair of Peavey FH1 bass horns. They are larger than LaScala, go slightly lower, have a more extended midrange response (which isn't necessaryly a good thing if you're using 1st order crossover!) and sound fantastic with Kappa 15C.

They are the poor man's LaScala but are actually better built and sound smoother.
