Yes. The altec is the wrong woofer for that horn based on physical dimensions alone and the required modifications to the lumber.

The 15C is a simple swap without any mods with a SIGNIFICANT +4 db improvement in midbass/midrange detail. Easy peasy and much more economical than overpriced Altec drivers.
