I certainly don't agree... They are 'OK', but I've heard plenty of other Horn speakers that I much prefer. A friend of mine owned the 19s for awhile, but got rid of them in favor of some Oris 200 Horns....
I had a pair of Altec 1005B Horns with 288-16K drivers mated with Khorn Bass Bins, which were far superior than the Altec 19s... I have since replaced the Altec Horns with Oris Orphean Horns, which are in another league from the Altec Speakers I've heard.The best thing you can do, is find someone willing to audition a pair of these, and hear for yourself.
