The "Poor Mans" Western Electric 753 derivatives can be done in a variety of sizes with choices of 15" or 12" woofers and at what most would consider a very reasonable price.
Going smallish with a couple of sophisticated sub woofers (Rythmik Audio for ex.) would be fabulous for a small room and around 98db.
Take this for what it's worth as this is just my humble opinion. For smallish Altec (1" drivers), the 32 horn is the way to go. it couples seamlessly to a variety of direct radiator woofers. The other small format Altec horns have their problems and should be avoided for sweet sounding non-fatiguing domestic listening.
