Great Planes Audio = Altec
Without going too deep into an explanation, GPA is the same as vintage Altec, its just new manufacturing.
So, if you want new, look into GPA (they have a store on ebay), if you like vintage, Google Altec Lansing Speakers and start researching and asking questions and a universe will open up to you. You'll find both plug and play and various degrees of DIY. Hard to beat for low watt amps.
Something to consider... speakers designed for low wattage tube amps were at their peak in the 50's. Cheaper Solid State high powered amps came about in the 60's and efficient speakers were kind of forgotten. So, if you want to explore low wattage, then it makes sense to explore the speakers in the 40's and the 50's and Altec is a great place to start.
